How can i wire my garmin gps power supply to my motorcycle?

Here’s the deal: I haven’t bought a bike yet but I’m assuming most bikes have 12v batteries. Based on that, how do I wire up a power supply to my garmin nuvi. The only specs listed on the gps itself say that its 250w. But the part of the power supply that plugs into a cars cigarette lighter says it has an input of 10-30Vdc 1A(max) and output of 5Vdc 1A as well as fuse space 1A 250Vac.
